Background & Context
During my internship at MOXA, the QA team needed an efficient tool to test serial port functionality on industrial PCs. Manual testing was time-consuming and prone to human error, especially when testing across different architectures (ARM, x86).
Task
Goals & Objectives
Develop an automated testing tool that could verify serial port throughput, data transmission accuracy, and handle multiple architectures. The tool needed to be user-friendly for QA engineers with varying technical backgrounds.

- Designed modular Python architecture for maintainability and extensibility
- Implemented serial port control using pyserial library with optimized handling
- Created comprehensive testing procedures for throughput and accuracy verification
